This carryout joint is always busy because they make really good food - my favorite is the 'Roasted' pork fried rice and egg rolls.

I moved here from Cleveland a couple of years ago that limited my "Chinese" food intake. We had a couple of go to places there and since coming to Akron my "Chinese" food experience has been less than stellar; especially since the beginning of 2020 when we were left to deal with COVID. I have tried several "Chinese' food restaurants with only A-Wok being a place that I think about returning to. Unfortunately it is not very close to my home so I don't get there often. I have been there twice and can say that the food that we have tried is by far better than the other restaurants serving the same or similar dishes. I have also learned that one place may have a certain item that is by far better than their competitors, such as egg rolls or BBQ boneless ribs etc,. That being said, my experience at A-wok when ordering their version of the BBQ boneless ribs was that the prototypical flavoring that draws me to that dish is certainly there; however, the cuts of meat were not the typical small pieces or strips normally served but had to be what these restaurants term as "sliced pork". Either way I had it two times and it was absolutely fantastic in flavor, texture and quantity. If you enjoy fast food "Chinese" style, then I would recommend giving these folks a try.

5/18/23 I JUST SPENT $27 OR MO GO JI PAN AND A SESEMIE CHICKEN TAKE OUT AND I CAN SAY IT WAS THE WORST FOOD I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFE. THE PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN AN THE EMPLYEE SENT BACK TO CHINA OR WHEREE EVER THEY CAME FROM.
