My husband and I stumbled upon this gem on our way from Marshall County, Tenn., to the Marshall Space Center at Huntsville, Ala., in 1998.
It was way past lunchtime, we hadn't eaten, and so we parked and went in. What a treat! The catfish was fresh, the breading seasoned just right, the fish was crispy but not greasy.
The hushpuppies were awesome! Made fresh (as in five minutes ago), we devoured them, then asked for an additional side order--the waitress informed us that would be six hushpuppies. We said okay.
What came to our table was a platter of just made crispy puppies, still hot from the pan. The waitress said something like, "Well she just made a batch, so here you go."
Wonderful.
We noted that at least beck then, Thursday nights were "seafood buffet nights." Wish we could go back and try it!
We recommend this place highly!
