During our vacation, my family and I decided to try out a new Mexican restaurant in town. The atmosphere was inviting and the service was quick and efficient. We were pleased by the delicious food and affordable prices compared to what we're used to back home in Tampa. Overall, it's a great spot for a traditional Mexican meal that won't disappoint.

The best chips ever👍🏻 First time we visited, staff very cordial, cleanest restroom I've ever been to in a restaurant. Great food!

HORRIBLE! Frozen food taste better. The waiter was nice but the food was awful My food was burned . There was long black hair in the beans. My brother got very sick after eating & we had to take mom to the ER. The taco that was added to one of the orders, the meat smelled like it was old. We took it to the hospital when we took mom & they said it was growing bacteria like crazy. Mom is a healthy lady but this took her to ICU & an IV for 3 days. I've gotten food there several times in the past that wasn't great but it was easy to go in a rush. We had a big birthday party there for the insurance office & we all got sick that night. We didn't drink alcohol u but all got the chimichanga ( chicken). The meat is boiled not grilled. There was skin & not just meat in them. We showed the owner & he said we were trying to get out of paying our bill. we paid the bill & left the food hardly eaten. worst place ever. We went to Milano's in Valley & had a great affordable meal.

Food was great.. Service was awful. I went to eat w/ a friend. When we walked in the door, we were not greeted by anyone, we ended up walking around seating ourselves as several employees watched. I know El Rio can get busy quickly but there were only three other cars there besides mine. Then to add insult to injury, we were then moved from where we sat to another table and seated next to a group of 8-10th very loud and annoying guests. Staff was not very friendly. I was very disappointed with the service due to it was my first, and last, time eating there. I now frequent San Marcos.. Where I'm always kindly greeted when I walk in the door and seated promptly by staff. El Rio could learn a few things from San Marcos. It's a shame service prevents me from going back because the food was actually really tasty:(

Worst Sevice I have ever had, Worst Atmosphere, Staff was very Rude. Honestly if you want mexican go to San Marcos food is great, cheaper and staff appreciates business!!!

Absolutely hands down best mexican food in the area. Also best prices... Not to mention the staff is the BEST. Much better than the "joint" down the hwy!. I LOVE this place me and my wife eat here at least once a week! Ask for Puma as your server he is the BEST!
