So, we drove out to Talkeetna with no expectations, but West Rib caught our eye for a juicy burger fix - just what we were craving. The burger was cooked perfectly, with hot fries to match. However, the condescending vibe from our server PJ was a bit off-putting, but the delicious meal made up for it. The mussels were a hit, and the Halibut Olympia was worth every penny - a must-try in this charming town.

We come here at least once a summer to get their very tall burger that could feed 5 or 6 people. It's been a thing we have done for years. Some of our family come here from Virginia to get this burger, it was a family thing. To our extreme disappointment yesterday (August 4th 2023) all 8 of us went here expecting to get the burger, instead we were told that they don't serve it anymore. All 8 of us walked out, we will never go back, we were so disappointed. On top of that the menu that they have now is like bar food. There were hundreds of people in Talkeetna, seen only 3 people in the restaurant, so we aren't the only ones disappointed.

No star would be best. Non-existent service. Our party was seated after 20 min. and all staff ignored us consistently, not even a glass of water. Jokes made between staff making fun of tourists all within earshot of guests. Highly unprofessional. You'd be better off passing by this place or simply stopping for a free photo.
