I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sushi rolls at this local eatery. Arriving on a quiet Monday night, I found myself alone in the cozy restaurant, making for a relaxing dining experience. I opted for the California roll variations, one featuring tuna and the other eel, and was pleased with the flavorful combination. The service was attentive, and I appreciated the option to request extra ginger for my meal. The overall vibe was inviting, and the generous portions made it a memorable dining experience in Nome.

I and my dude are here in Nome Alaska on a business trip where my dude will be teaching a class, our first day getting in we found this small restaurant we thought we'd try. This was nothing as we thought. The prices were pretty high but we figured we are far from home Louisiana and everything is probably shipped in. But this was outrageous. We were hoping to try some fresh salmon, but not here. There was none. We decided on fish and chips. I got the cod and he got the halibut. The menu says 3 pcs of deep-fried halibut with homemade tartar sauce. My guy also asked for draft beer, only 2 employees where working there, the cook and the waitress. Seemed like an older couple, a husband and wife type of situation. It seemed there English wasn't so great and she nodded a bit her back and forth I guess and she came back with what looked like a small sealed unopened jar of sake. $15.00 for 2 small pieces of fish cut in half and a hand full of fries , 2 packs of ketchup and1 packet of tartar sauce.. It wasn't even hot and we where the only two people there beside the workers. I wish I would have seen the online menu before we went because I would have definitely question what was really going on. If your hungry this is not the place to be. Not once did the waitress come to check on us, we had to get up and ask for anything extra we needed. Like napkins, mayo, she came back with about a table spoon of mayo ( I am a mayo type especially with fried fish) and we had to get up to ask for more and got the dame result, a spoonful that was it. This definitely will not be getting a second chance. NOT GOOD
