Love this place

This is my "Go to restaurant," always! When time permits, I love to dine in. Usually busy, I have their phone number, and call in my "to go," order. I highly recommend it to my vacation rental, Four Glaciers Inn guests, as well! Consistently delicious, and wonderful staff, I'm a regular!

I was watching the crew at Fat Olives rockin' it in the kitchen fixing all kinds of pizza, sandwiches and salads both at the to go counter and in the restaurant as well. They got my order to me as fast as possible considering the orders that were coming in on both sides. They were so coordinated in each step of the orders with each person doing what they do best. It was awesome to watch! Thanks for getting my order to me so quick.

We went to Fat Olives on Monday, june 12, 2017. We decided to try it because it had such wonderful reviews. However, our experience was a little different. Because they were busy and we would have a 15-20 minute wait, our daughter got a to-go order of a slice of pizza and went on to a meeting. My husband and I waited and were seated in reasonable time. The staff is nice and the restaurant is a remodeled gas station or something like that. I liked the decor and the building. It was kind of fun. It was busy and we hoped for the best. My husband ordered stromboli and I ordered pasta meatballs. My husband's reaction was that the stromboli was so-so. I tasted some of his leftovers and liked it more than he did. My pasta meatballs really was so-so. It was served with linguine pasta and had about 5 or 6 meatballs. The portions were fine. But there was very little sauce on the pasta. It was very dry. The meatballs were good but nothing special. I thought the frozen ones I get at Costco were just as good. All in all, I thought they could have used spaghetti noodles instead of linguine, added more sauce, called it spaghetti and meatballs and charged no more than $12 instead of the $17. It felt like they were trying to make it a fine-dining meatball dish so they could charge the bigger price. I would not order it again. After talking later to our daughter, she said the pizza slice she bought and took with her, although very large, was also kind of so-so. I gave 2 stars for the staff and the building/decor but the food was disappointing.

Affordable, friendly staff, fresh food, changing menu specials, but we tend to order the same items - Nonna and Black Hole Caesar salads are over the top delicious. The turkey pesto sandwich and house calzones are consistently great. I've never had bad service since they opened their doors. 5* for affordability. 5* for Service 5* for menu choices.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it ! The food and the service are wonderful. It is a must go to place whenever I am in Homer. Going tomorrow.
I would give them 5 stars if they took reservations.

Worst Bar Experience Ever! I used to like this place. Homer, AK. I just endured the WORST service experience ever as the bar waitress TOTALLY ignored me for 2 plus hours. I wouldn't spend a buck here if it was given to me. Just say no to BAD service. AND they won't let you know their WiFi password so it's not computer friendly. Forgetaboutit! Go to McDonalds for better food and service!
