A GREAT New Mexico experience. I always sit at the counter mid-restaurant, where you can bump shoulders with the locals, have fascinating conversations, and enjoy some of the nest juevos rancheros and carne adovada anywhere!!!

I've been dining at Barelas over 30 years and have never experienced a bad meal. It's my favorite New Mexican restaurant ever!

Having been going there since I moved to Albuquerque in 2010. Food is ALWAYS fantastic and the service just can not be beat! Sure it can get a little noisy at times -- but this restaurant celebrates the diversity of the Barelas neighborhood. If I were to ever own a restaurant -- I would want it to be just like Barelas!
