Could someone please explain to me what is the point of making reservations at this place? I understand that their lifeblood is the student business. But if you are a couple who just wants to be able to eat, do not bother coming here during the school year. You will spend more time in the bar waiting than you will actually eating. Bottom line, avoid this restaurant at all costs except during the summer.

Gone downhill! Went to dinner last night and it took 3 hours. We sat at the table for literally 1 hour before we even got water! Prices have gone up and service has gone way down the last 2 times we have gone here. Will not be going back!

I went there twice, and took 4 others. We ordered the dinners for two, and everyone was supposed to get their own portions of ribeye, but since there wasn't 6 of us they didn't split the 6th ribeye, they omitted it and still charged us for it. I told them we wanted it as we were paying for it and to just split it up between us all. But I saw them take it off the cart, before coming to the table. Make sure you check your bill before paying. They are a rip off. I don't recommend

I've been going to goten for years its amazing the food the chef the atmosphere i love it and its well worth the money always have enormous portion sizes

My husband took me there when we first met in 1974. We used to go often and just love it. After leaving the area 5 years ago, we just visited and Go-Ten was on our "must eat at" places. It was absolutley, positively wonderful. Our tastebuds were dancing.

Terrible -- it won't let me give no stars! I read reviews prior to having dinner there and was looking forward to trying something new -- I eat at Osaka frequently and wanted to have some variation. What a mistake! Every sushi road had a california roll as its base with the novel topping as an afterthought. Cold rubbery bacon on sushi?! What?
The edamame was cooked with butter. The salad was 50% water, a few slices of iceburg lettuce with a fairly green tomato half and lots and lots of onion.
75$ later and having eaten about half of each part of the meal later, I was pretty miserable. Service was very slow.
Perhaps it is fun for the hibachi -- but I say skip it and shred the money -- your stomach will thank you.

My family and I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. My brother's observation of Goten the first time we went was "Wow, we should have Thanksgiving here!". The food and the show is always amazing and the amount you get is easily worth the price. I've never had a complaint with the place and I don't think I ever will.

This has been my favorite restaurant since I was 15 years old (I'm now 25). I would have gone there every day if I could have. The food and the atmosphere was awesome. I'm always impressed by the showmanship of the chefs.

Goten has been one of my favorite restaurants for years! We always go as a group for every birthday in the family and it never fails to be a great experience! The new rennovations are beautiful, (especially the new bathrooms!)
