The service is amazing but the food is a disaster. Stick to the burgers and anything fried. Everything "homemade" does not taste good and is lacking flavor and seasonings. It definitely matches the local population of white bread honkies so that might be why. Sorry but gross. The staff is AMAZING though!

Giving this restaurant a one star is being over generous. My husband and I are snowbirds and decided to go out for Thanksgiving for the first time in our 46 years of married life. We chose the Quail because it was my mom's favorite place to go when snowbirds in Quartzite. In honor of her passing 2 months ago we chose there because of their advertised Thanksgiving dinner. We arrived 30 minutes after they started serving. We walked in and immediately saw there was only one completely frazzled waitress. She was trying to handle the phone ringing for take out dinners, the line of customers coming to get there orders, and waiting on the customers at the tables. She finally sat us at our table apologizing the whole time for the long wait. We felt so sorry for her. She is the victim in this story. We ordered right away. Here is what we got: 2 big glasses of wonderful milk.
Turkey chunks and small bites of ham. Both had to have been cooked days before because they tasted just like the refrigerator. I say days ahead because the warmed over flavor was very strong. Potatoes were the worst brand of instant that we had ever had and we got one tiny scoop perfectly formed. Stuffing was slivers of toasted bread crumbs equaling about 1/4th of a cup. Green beans had raw bacon and white onions in them. Gravy was some watery concoction with herbs that had no turkey flavor to it. It was tasteless. The yams were excellent and we ate those. We didn't eat anything else but drank the good milk. We were floored! ALL OF THIS CAME TO US COLD. When the waitress came to check on us we pulled her aside and unloaded on her. She told us they were under new management and yes the food was not prepared fresh that day. She was so honest and she knew we were spot on. She went and talked to the new owner who had finally shown up to help and the owner said not to charge us. Apparently the Mayor was with a group of people in the table behind us and we got the impression that we should not let the cow out of the bag and leave quietly. We left a generous tip for our waitress and let her know none of this was her fault. We will never go back. Prison and hospital food are heaven compared to this disaster.

Visited Quartzite Last Jan 13,14 had great Breakfast both days at this Cafe, food is cooked to perfection, and the Pies are great, the Bread Pudding is to Die for. Came by in evening 6pm for take out dessert, and the place was slammed lines out the door. the food on the plates looked first rate, I am sorry we did not have Dinner there. Great Food , Friendly staff.

The best of classic Americana Cuisine. It a SnowBird's paradise. The Blue part is not on Google Maps so cut the Blue from your entry. Early bird specials are great. I had a classic BBQ Beef Sandwich. My daughter had the special Hot Roast Beef Sandwich. Iced tea for me and a coke for Laira.
Everthing is white bread perfect. it's as if you've stepped back into the 50's
