During a recent visit to the Purple Onion, my friends and I decided to try out their pick three appetizer, which included loaded fries, BBQ nachos, and spinach dip - all of which were delicious and generously portioned. Our main courses, which consisted of a burger, catfish, and crawfish macaroni, were equally satisfying and arrived promptly despite the busy atmosphere. Our waiter, Nolen, provided attentive service throughout our meal, ensuring our glasses were always full and making our experience a pleasant one. I would definitely recommend giving the Purple Onion a try for a wide selection of well-cooked dishes, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

We met some friends there last evening and it has become our favorite place to meet. Sometimes there is a wait but it's worth it. My favorite items on the menu is the swamp basket. I can easily get 3 meals out of the catfish, hush puppies, and shrimp. Our waitress yesterday was Aggie and she was a sweetheart. She was friendly and attentive. She made our visit enjoyable. There was a mistake on our order and she saw it right away and went and got a manager who came to our table and told me how they were gonna make it right, and they did.
Overall a really good time and our server, Aggie, was great.

Purple Onion has a wide, eclectic menu. Nice environment with friendly service. The burger is pretty good. Fun spot for drinks with friends.

. Food was very good, no complaints. However, the atmosphere was less than optimal. The noise level was on average 75 to 80 decibels. That is on par with LOUD SINGING. If your wondering how I know that, I used a sound level app on my iPad to measure the average noise level while we dined.
That level of abient noise creates stress and makes normal converssation very hard. You should ask your servers how many times they have to repeat themselves when conversing with your customers. To that end, I'd suggest covering the bare walls with some sort of tapestries, decor in keeping with the resturants theme. Also, add felt sliders to the stool/chair legs. Sound absorbing tiles or hanging globes will also lessen the noise level.
Additionally, on entry to your establishment, the front door said in larger letters that WiFi was free. We could not get the WiFi to work. Our efforts only resulted in two password protected options. When the server was ask for a password that said none was needed. ????
Aside from that, the food was good AND I would come again except for the noise level that makes dining stressful.

Their catfish is the best I've ever had! Cheyenne is our favorite waitress too!!
