Hold on to your hat's folks! In fact, keep a tight watch on your possessions in this place! During our stay at a Hot Springs Marriott down the street, we took a break from business meetings via zoom for dinner and chose the Bleu Monkey due to the advertisement of the largest selection of draft beers in Hot Springs. This is also highly questionable but isn't the reason for the review. Other than the hotel, this was the only place we stopped before and after this meal. We were seated after a booth and its table had been cleaned. During our visit, we observed the tables, booths/seats being cleaned before anyone was seated anywhere in the restaurant. Good practice. Unfortunately, we accidentally left a personal item on the booth seat where we were seated. We left around 6:30 PM, an hour and half before the advertised closing time of 8:00 PM on the Bleu Monkey Grill Website. We had to get back to our room for another business meeting that extended beyond the 8:00 PM closing time. When we arrived back in our room and started the meeting, we realized the item was forgotten at the restaurant, but was unable to reach out to the Bleu Monkey Grill staff due to the meeting prior to the Bleu Monkey Grill closing. As a result, we reached out to the staff at the Bleu Monkey Grill after they opened at 11:00 AM and was told nothing had been left in the booth. After getting nowhere with the staff, we reached out to the owner "Ozzie Oseguera on Facebook. He replied with the same as the staff that nothing had been left in the booth. Ironically, we sat in direct view of a security camera and repeatedly asked for the owner "Ozzie" to review the security footage to see who cleaned out the booth and table. Unfortunately, this question has yet to be answered. It is clear from our experience that the booths and tables are cleaned out by staff prior to seating. While the staff may not be concerned about a customer's possessions being taken by staff or think that the value of a customer's possessions is insignificant, the loss of business will certainly exceed that when word gets out about the dishonesty at this place. Considering the request for the review of the security footage has been ignored, it also appears to be a business offering false security to the public with either security cameras that do not work or staff and ownership refusing to utilize them. A restaurant is only as good as the people they employ and if the employees are dishonest"¦ well, that says it all.
