The diner, located next to a gas station, offers delicious food at fair prices. The friendly service and generous portion sizes make it a must-visit in town.

Wonderful food, and a great staff. I've eaten there for the last three years, tried a number of their menu items, and even things not quite to my taste have been quite excellent.
It feels like a diner "from the past" only clean and light with up-to-date yet "traditional" food. My only complaint is that they don't serve pie. Pie just isn't as popular as it used to be, so I understand, but I still wish for it"¦

Prices recently shot up and it seems quality down. Plus, it's in a gas station, so you have to stare at pumps over overpriced plates. Staff are usually friendly, but $11 for burger and fries is a bit much.

Been disappointed sveral times having driven several miles for a classic diner breakfast. Eggs over, toast and homefries. The toast wasn't brown more like warm slightly dry bread. Had to ask for it retoasted and still not brown. Homefries were really boiled potatoes, not brown not crispy. The touch of brown last time may have been paprika. Home fries should be very brown and have a crunch on at least one side and are ofter billed as crispy.. Probably will go back one more time in a month or so to see is I can get a classic diner breakfast. Maybe the cook doesn'g want to clean his grill befor lunch. Just wipe it down.

A great local place for breakfast and dinner. The food is always delightful and satisfying. Very capable and friendly staff. While not the Grove Park Inn, The LJ IS local and far more accessible and economical. Also, if you have a special preparation/meal - they are happy to comply. Try that at the GPI. Go Fairview!!

We are regulars at the Local Joint and yes, you have to look for it the first time. The food is always tasty, sometimes awesome, and the staff is friendly. The meats are usually from pastured animals, and when you get a sandwich, it isn't sandwich meat (processed), it's in house roasted and delicious. If you want to make a change in an ingredient, they're open to it. If you're ion the neighborhood, definitely drop in. If you're not in the neighborhood, it's worth a visit!
