I have had the pleasure of eating at Minato for over 20 years. First owner Kevin is one ot the best crating dishes that are amazing. Ming making wonderful rolls is behind the bar as well and he and Kevin both are excellent. The rest are family working the Restaurant and are always there to meet and treat you as family. The fish is unreal and you can taste the difference in quality. I have tried the best ATL has to offer. Hands down one of the best if not the best, Minato will never disappoint.

Minato's is by far the yummiest Japanese restaurant in Atlanta (actually Smyrna). Rarely, if ever, would I post extreme praise, but... Minato's deserves the praise!
The quality of the fresh fish is the best -- better than at any other Sushi restaurant in the Atlanta Metropolitan area (or so I declare(!)... based on years of devouring Sushi at the best Sushi restaurants in LA and NYC).
The variety of dishes are each delicious and creative. The presentation is always lovely.
The owner and staff are truly wonderful people... attentive to every patron's wish, including making and developing specially requested dishes.
If you are in the area or maybe just within 100 miles, it's well worth the drive for delicious sushi or any of their other exquisite and yummy dishes.

It's been 33years I have been coming here. Inspite of all my travels this is by far the very best sushi anywhere! It is all excellent. Kevin and Ming are the best. They are generous, creative and extremely clean and friendly. No fresher sushi than any place I have eaten. Can't explain. Just Go!

Sushi is excellent, fresh, well prepared. Blue fin was particularly fresh and flavorful. If you like sushi, I would recommend. Service is also very good.
