HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience as a first time customer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I could rate them a -5 stars I would. I will NEVER refer anyone to eat at this TERRIBLE establishment. EXTREMELY RUDE customer service and very UNPROFESSIONAL staff.
I entered the establishment with a mask on and walked to the bar to place a ToGo order. The restaurant was completely empty except 5 people eating at the bar. I stood at the bar for 5 minutes for "Adam the bartender" to acknowledge me. He told the guest next me, "I never introduce myself to customers what type of place do they think this is?" and proceeded to ask for my order. I ordered my food (3 tacos with queso). Adam said "great, it'll only take 10 minutes." 10 minutes goes by and my ToGo order is ready. I provided my card of payment to Adam. As Adam swipes my card to process the payment, he notifies their system is down. Adam follows to ask "Mam do you mind waiting 3 minutes for our system to reboot?" as he holds my card at the bar. I politely respond, " I do not mind waiting." I waited five minutes and their system is still down.
Now it's an hour later and their system is STILL DOWN and I am still patiently waiting. Adam tells me along with three customers at the bar, "I'm sorry our systems are down give me a minute to try again." Now I have waited over an hour so my food is cold. Adam then tells everyone, "Let me get a picture of your credit card, photo ID, and your phone number so I can give you all a call tomorrow and process your payment." As he proceeded to laugh about this. I am growing concerned. Adam did not provide alternatives.
This to me is a "red flag"because theft and fraud is highly known. I asked for an alternative and Adam did not provide any other alternatives. He responded, "This is the only option." I requested to speak with the manager because I did not feel safe providing my personal information due to fraud. The manager approached me and I asked politely "Are you the manager?" The gentleman said, "Yes I am the manager." I proceeded to ask for his name he said, "You do not need to know my name, what can I help you with?" I told him my story I've been waiting for over an hour for their systems to reboot and it is still not working and my food is cold. I also expressed my concern of leaving my credit card information with ID.
He responds, "That is not my problem you still have to pay for your food." I responded in a positive manner, " I am not comfortable providing my credit card information and my food is still cold. The "manager" is now agitated and yells, "If you do not pay for your food and walk out I will call the police on you!" I looked appalled while I just stood there. I asked the manager, "Are you really going to call the police over $20 of food." He continuously yells, "I am calling the cops on you for not paying for your food." I stood their in disbelief as this is happening. I had no intention on walking out without paying. It is not the customers fault their system is down.
Now keep in mind Adam is still holding my credit card. Adam walks over to the manager with my card in his hand. I ask Adam, "Please hand me my card." Adam is now screaming at the top of his lungs, " I am not giving you your card until he (manager) says so!" Now both gentleman are screaming at me with no masks on at the top of their lungs as I am standing there still in disbelief this is happening. Adam is now holding my card in the air and reached to grab my card. Adam continues yelling at the top of his lungs, "OMG you cannot take your card without paying." He is now blurting out CURSE WORDS to my face and walks away.
I am still standing there very frustrated with what is happening. The manager is still not handling the situation. I give the food back to the manager and walk out the restaurant with a TERRIBLE taste in my mouth about the entire situation.
I have never been disrespected like this and it is unacceptable!!!
