Alright, I'm not a hugely experienced sushi freak. This was where I was first introduced to it all - but now that I've sampled around more, I have to say that Fugakyu is still my favorite. It has an atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in an expensive restaurant, but I never feel like I have to 'dress up' to go there. They have a really awesome set up with a variety of balcony-like seating, normal tables, or paper walled booths, and really awesomely dressed-up waitresses (who quite possibly fecking hate their costumes, though they're always friendly). There is a fish pond, whose fish I feel a bit sorry for to have to live there, but, to be fair, it's no worse than most restaurants having fish crowded into a little tank.
I've eaten there a ton of times now, and the amount of seating is impressive - I'm thinking they get very busy. The service is nice - I was never neglected or had to seek out a waiter or waitress.
The food - amazing. Such a huge selection, and the menu has more than a few types of vegetarian sushi, which makes it work for me. The rice and other meal dishes seem pretty expensive, so I've never ordered them - but the sushi is delicious, fresh, and extremely well-priced. I only wish that the other orders were as well priced as the sushi - but never asked the portion size, maybe they're worth it?
If you're thinking about eating here, definitely give it a go, especially if introducing new people to some delicious sushi.

My husband and I went here for dinner one night after deciding on trying some place new. This has become one of my favorite sushi places. Great atmosphere, very large menu full of a wide range of options, and we had no wait at all. We turned this into our Friday night dining option every time.

The interior design of the restaurant is quite unique out of all the other Japanese restaurants I have been to. The food is okay, but not as good as I expected from the reviews on-line.

We went here last weekend for date night. The sushi was fresh and we ordered the boat for 2.
