Golden Crown has always been a family favorite for generations. The large round tables are perfect for gathering with loved ones and indulging in a variety of delicious dishes. The service is friendly, the portions are generous, and the food is consistently satisfying.

Do NOT go here. After waiting 20 minutes just to see our waitress ( there were three outer tables occupied in the restaurant and 3 people serving), we placed our order with the specification that there was a mushroom allergy. We had the waitress repeat the order. The food was a long time coming as well, mostly because they had a table of friends and family there that all the waitresses would serve before paying guests. after a few bites, my throat closed up. Lo and behold, there was mushrooms. After a panicked shot, I asked the owner why there was mushrooms in it. Her exact words were " well you just said you had an allergy, you didn't say you had an allergy allergy, so we didn't think you were serious". They took my beef and broccoli chop suey back to the kitchen and reappeared not two minutes later, stating they had made a new batch. Refused to eat anymore, took the food home, and guess what? They just picked out the bigger mushrooms. Worst ( and deadly if you have allergies) restaurant in vernon

We took 27 guests with us to celebrate our 50th anniversary our host Colleen was very helpful in planning and serving ! The food was excellent and served hot and on time. Everyone was impressed with the evening would recommend the new golden crown to anyone.

My co-workers and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch! The lunch special is just $8.99 and you get your choice of fried rice or chow mein, vegetable chop suey and deep fried prawns, or chicken balls, or almond chicken! Such a deal and such fantastic flavours! We received very quick and attentive service.

My husband and I were in Vernon to visit for a couple of weeks and decided to try this restaurant. We'd never been to "The Golden Crown" restaurants that I recall and for us this was a nice change. We'd always liked the meals such as the Singapore noodles, the Ginger beef, the Steamed rice, and the regular Wonton soup. Although the prices range from about $10-$13 per order, I feel that for the price they charge on delivery, it's a great thing to have if you don't drive! We were told that if you bought $25 or less the delivery would cost approx. $5 if you spent less than $25 and only $2 on delivery if you spend over $25. I feel that what we ordered was very tasty and YES, I would go back to that restaurant again. At first we got driven to this one by a taxi at around lunch time and realized by looking on the door that it is only open from 4-9 pm 7 days a week. What a bummer!!!! Oh, well, for me that is the only 'bad' thing about this restaurant is that you cannot find out before you leave home, that it is NOT open until 4pm. When it finally DOES open though, it will most likely be worth your while. I'm now interested to find out WHERE in Edmonton this restaurant is too -- IF there even is one!

Takeout Food overcooked. Owner called us dishonest when we returned what couldn't be eaten. Don.t waste your money
