Always good food

It USED to be affordable, but they swindle you by not telling you the ABSURD price of sharing a plate! We had 2 families (9 people and a baby). We had 3 kids share plates and 1 of the adults share. The server acted like that was no problem, and quickly then added there would be a bit more charged because of sharing (I was assuming something like $4 or $5), but would you believe it - THEY CHARGED US $80 EXTRA JUST BECAUSE OF SHARING!!!
And what's more, if your table has more than 6 people, THEY CHARGE 20% EXTRA OF YOUR FINAL TOTAL!!! And when the bill arrives, there still is the blank spot for adding a tip...
So for 4 regular shrimp lunches (which was the cheaper on the menu), and 3 rice wines, they CHARGED US A WHOPPING $177!!!
I thought again later of what we had - rice, a handful of shrimp and vegies, with 3 rice wines (hot sake). $177???
With great anger, but most of sadness, we will never (and CAN NEVER) come to dine at Bayfront Restaurant in Old Town Eureka.
And they served each of us less food than ever before. we were ALL HUNGRY as we left...before they were always generous (i mean, come on - it's rice!). Economy tanking? Restaurant prices rising and portions minimizing? I will be more and more making my own amazing meals AT HOME at a fraction of restaurant prices, especially this one!!!
(And how they try to SNEAKILY ADD in large gratuities...)

I thought I would treat my family to a fun place for dinner. I made reservations at the teppanyaki for 8 o'clock because that is what they had available. We showed up and was told by the hostess to go to the back and tell the back person that we were there. I went back to let them know we were here for our 8 o'clock reservation and the waitress was rude. She just snapped just go sit down over there and pointed to a waiting area. We were not seated until 8:49, not one person came over to let us know what was going on or anything. After being seated we went to place our orders and the waitress keep cutting me off when I was trying to place my order. The food was over cooked I got cold tofu app. and the chicken was dry. The chief forgot my mother in laws steak, he remember after dinner was over along with part of my dinner that was left out. That was 200.00 not spent well.
