Went to Hortencia's on my birthday 🎈and got the worst service ever 😠😠😠 First, the owner took our temperatures 🌡 to see if we had Covid 🦠. What if you had a temp & didn't have Covid 🦠??? Still couldn't have eaten outside, really?!? Had 4 servers & 3 tables to wait on with 2 adults sitting at each table but operated at a snails pace! Waited 5 min. just to get the chips & salsa! Isn't that is what is supposed to be "great" about going to a Mexican restaurant... you aren't sitting around starving?!? Once we were served the chips, I asked if they could bring out some guacamole 🥑 dip too with our drinks & the server said,"No problem"... a waitress came out 5 minutes later with the drinks (which was a long time because you are really thirsty) & when I asked where the guacamole 🥑 was, I was informed then that they had none & she assured me she would get me the artificial sweeteners to go with my ice tea (which she forgot to bring) & nothing is worse than being thirsty & not enjoying your ice tea because it doesn't taste "right" without the sweeteners, right?!? Finally, my boyfriend after waiting 5 minutes, got up to get some from inside of the restaurant! Meanwhile, the lady sitting at another table pointed out there were no veggies inside of her enchilada to have the waitress bring out a plate of veggies to put inside of it! Really?!? So it wasn't just me feeling this way! Will never go back here ever again! & only this kind lady went out of her way to wish me Happy Birthday 🎉 & acted like she cared! Certainly, not these servers!
