I discovered a restaurant that offers a unique culinary experience. The atmosphere is inviting, and the dishes are expertly prepared.

First off, the Town Cafe has by far the best breakfast and brunch in Moraga -- hands down. There's only one problem: it's impossible to walk out of the door without spending at least $25 per person -- for breakfast! Supposedly in 2023, inflation is beginning to flatten with gas running at $5 a gallon, compared to $8 in June. While Moraga is a super-expensive little town to live in, nothing justifies a small $25 breakfast (tip not included). For instance, the combo plate, which consists of two eggs, two small waffles and two thin sausages (fruit side), runs at $17.75.. Seriously -- sticker shock??
Our family (one adult and two kids) came in the week of New Year's and were presented with a bill just shy of $90. (The tip itself could have bought another breakfast..) While the Town Cafe serves good quality food (including our lattes), the portions are small (about 2/3 the size of the Ranch House) and this leaves too many of us in Moraga simply priced out of a good quality breakfast or brunch.
