Great lunch today with Oriental Salad and Split Pea Soup. Sadly, the sourdough bread was not available. My friend had a vegetarian sandwich with fries that was pretty good. Romantic atmosphere

When calling for reservations for Saturday, May 15, 2021, the owner (who is in the process of selling the restaurant) was very rude. We finally made reservations for 7:45 p.m., and when we arrived, the owner (in a put-out tone) instructed us to go to the bar, as to get out of other peoples way. When we were seated at a table, the waitress came up, and we asked if we could have water with lemon. In a very nasty tone, she said that she was very, very, busy, and that she would get to us. Then, she asked my husband and our other friend to move their chairs out of her way (2 times) because she had a cart that she was wheeling around, and obviously they were in her way. The second time she asked them to move, my husband looked up at her, and before he could move, she swung the cart away in a nasty manner. She was very rude & irritated, so all six of us got up and left. I have never been treated so rudely by an owner of a "high priced" restaurant, and his worker (not even by the really elegant restaurants where I reside). Very unprofessional people & a very terrible experience. We will never, never, return. Taco Bell treats their customers way better.
