Last week, I had jury duty and was really craving a burger that reminded me of Bud's back home, so I decided to check out this local joint that also had milkshakes. I pulled up, placed my order for a cheeseburger with both grilled and raw onions, and a strawberry milkshake, and the wait was pretty solid for a busy lunchtime. The burger hit the spot, even if it was a tad sweet for my taste, and the shake was delicious, but I'd love to see some real strawberries mixed in next time!

I was first introduced to Dave's when I first arrived at Travis Air Force Base in 1978. It continues to be my go to place for a satisfying burger in Fairfield. I am disappointed that they shut down at 4pm everyday now. I'm sure it must be a financial decision of some sort, but wouldn't enough people visit up to 6pm?
