We used to stop here after a brief cleanup when we'd finish our typical summer 8-10 day Sierra treks in the 1970's and 1980's. It was a bit upscale from the usual 'barbeque pit' style, and after eating out of our backpacks and fish for those days, the visual and aroma appeal was terrific. I would usually have ended up ordering a larger plate than I could finish, along with a cold beer or two. The last time I recall being there was in 1997 and I'm sure a lot had changed since then. Still, I miss the place.

After backpacking five days I was quite hungry and it wouldn't have taken much in the way of quality to make happy. This place failed utterly and I will never go back. I suspect the only reason they haven't failed is because there is bus parking.
