Having traveled to Massillon for the football game, I was thrilled to discover an amazing family-run restaurant with delicious food, attentive service, and a warm atmosphere that has become a community staple, making it impossible for me to resist returning for more.

The food is fantastic. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Their pizza is amazing. Try it, u just may like it. As for their Liver /Onions & their Ali oil/.garlic spaghetti, it's the best around. Their owner is a hard working man with a big heart ❤️🙏

Not so good today. Sub was cold,and so was our portabella mushroom pasta any other time it has been great. Not happy with the food today. Sorry

We have eaten at Smiley's three times and enjoyed it every time. We have been greeted by someone as soon as we walk in. We have also had the same waitress all three times and we love her. Even the people busing the tables are friendly. The food is good and plentiful. This is not a five star restaurant, but a mom and pop Italian hole in the wall with kitschy decor. The food is good for a family night out that's not fast food, not a chain, and not super fancy. The dinner rolls are fantastic. The place is packed on weekends and there is usually 2 or 3 people waiting to pick up an order. Not sure what the other reviewers were saying. The only reason I leave Smiley's feeling sick is because the portions are huge and I eat way too much.

It's been awhile since we have been to Smileys just horrible food and now that I see Sharon's post I was right yuck I guess the people that wrote the good food post don't really know good food sorry

I decided after reading reviews on the website to try Smiley's for a second time in my Life. I lived in Massillon for years & tried the Alfredo pasta before in had no taste to it & was extremely oily but after reading this site & a few others & watching video I thought maybe I would give them another chance. I loaded the family up & drove to the restaurant. We were not acknowledged when we walked through the door then after choosing one of the few less dirty spots to sit our waitress greeted us. She seemed nice enough but I think she may have had a hearing problem. Our order was messed up. My husband ordered the fried mushrooms for appetizer which must have been frozen & microwaved they were hard & had NO moisture to them. NONE of us could eat them I sent them back. My sons meal which was suppose to be sauce on the side was not prepared as such & to top it off she brought the sauce extra on the side. We finished our meal I did not want to be there any longer than possible so I got my food to go. The quality of which was something you would get at fast food location in my opinion. The environment was deteriorating & could have been more inviting & clean. when we walked up to cashier we expected them to remove the mushrooms charge & the extra sauce charge the waitress billed us but they had no intention of doing as ANY other reputable restaurant would. They did knock off $2.00 on the bill. This still does not make me happy in the least!! I was already feeling ill before I left & when I came home & I literally just finished throwing up the awful food I had. I would like to say it tasted worse the second time around but honestly I think it may have tasted better. I WILL NOT EVER BE RETURNING THERE & DO NOT BELIEVE THESE GOOD REVIEWS!! If you have a sensitive pallet & enjoy good food you will be VERY disappointed.
