The Banana Bread French Toast at this charming cafe is incredibly addictive, making each meal feel like a warm visit to Grandma's kitchen. With friendly and efficient service, a cozy atmosphere, and a menu full of delicious breakfast options, it's a favorite for visitors and locals alike, despite the occasional wait during busy seasons.

Their hours are odd, their location across from a Feed & Grain store in Waquoit nearly impossible to notice...and yet this place is LEGENDARY! People have kept this a local secret since the 80's now and you wonder if the owners might not be playing along. There aren't a lot of big signs pointing you into the Moonakis, but there aren't a lot of tables either. You'll wait in a line to get in on a weekend, especially in summer. The specials are written on a whiteboard with an erasable marker. All that said - guess what? This is one of the best breakfast places in America. I know a guy who came from Alaska to get the corned beef hash again after years away. The specials tend to be unusual, healthy or just plain great. If you can keep your mouth shut about having been there after you go, keep the secret with the rest of us, you might just get a seat the next time you're in town. AAAA+
