Awesome food

Walked up dirty stairs to fake flowers while the owner/maitre'd was arguing with a group of women. Restaurant was entirely empty and he refused them. that being said the women were quite rude.
Waitress was awkward and unwelcoming. Took forever to get drinks. Bread was delicious (and frankly bread in the south is nothing to write home about) so off to great start. In general our primi choices were good then the secondi arrived. One of our fish dishes was not only inedible but also the worst cut we have ever been served. Staff was apologetic but also a bit defensive. We weren't looking for special treatment but didn't need to be told the cut was quality (as it was sinewy and discolored). We were hoping to love this place and at the end of the day had to accept there was little to love other than the wine list, bread and gnudi. If the staff was better we could have overlooked the lack of consistency with food. We will not ever go back .
