The molcajeta is a generous dish that can easily serve three, and the Texas margarita is a great pairing with a refreshing citrus flavor. The service is consistently friendly, and the food is delicious, making it a solid choice for anyone craving Mexican cuisine on John's Island.

I have eaten at Maria's 6-8 times for dinner only. The setting and service has been going downhill the whole time. The service being slow is an understatement. The serving amounts are smaller. The wrong drinks served and the dinner order was served incomplete and half the tables dinners served and 10 minutes later the rest of the dinners are served ! (table of 4) then the server falls of the planet ..Really!!?? NO refills? NO follow up? NO courtesy? NO check? tired of leaving the table repeatedly to locate a server and to pay the check?? wonder how many walk outs they have
Maria's is off my radar, forever!!..... must be fun failing in a towne of restaurants ...

Was at this restaurant 4 times once for dinner that was good the other 3 times were for lunch, what a mistake !
Terrible service, food only fair. Went with the family on a recent Saturday afternoon with hope of a one last chance for good service and food. Both were horrible. NEVER PLAN TO GO THERE AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Food is great. I suggest their fish tacos. The service is HORRIBLE. If I ever get their food again, it will be take out.

I ordered the seafood soup, and it was pretty tasteless. It had beautiful vegetables in it, but there was no flavor to the broth or the vegetables. I think I will stick to ordering. Mexican food at a Mexican restaurant.

Their ceviche is great! On par with anything I have eaten in the Carribean. Good salsa

I love this place!!! Kid friendly & all around very good place to hang out. The food is yummy, drinks are perfectly made. And the work staff.. Will you'll have to go check them out & see how they make you feel right at home.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever ate at. The place is clean, and the design gives you the feel of the southwest. Their salsa is the best, period! This a really great place to eat and the drinks are perfect. So if ever you are in Charleston South Carolina, take a little side trip through James Island onto Johns Island, and have some of the best Mexican food ever!
