The food at John's has seen a remarkable improvement since the new ownership took over a few weeks ago, with enhanced recipes and new dishes that are quite enjoyable. I've always appreciated the friendly service and the nostalgic, casual atmosphere, which makes each visit feel special. While there are still some areas that could use improvement, like the desserts and some menu items, the overall experience has been pleasantly satisfying, especially considering the reasonable prices for fresh, home-cooked meals.

The food at John's has really improved since the new ownership took over a few weeks back. Before, it was pretty blah - overcooked dishes and freezer-burned meats were common. But now, they're revamping recipes and adding new dishes like grilled chicken with fresh sauce and chimichurri steak. The menu still needs some work, but overall, the food has been getting better, the staff is friendly, and they offer Pepsi products. It's a comforting, family-friendly spot with affordable prices and real, fresh food - definitely worth a try if you're in the area!

I visited this long stand establishment on 7/31/23 and I was totally and completely disappointed! My past experiences with John's Restaurant was stellar and I enjoyed each visit. The Old staff should have passed on the cooking recipes and secrets that made them King of the block. After placing my order, it seems as if my waite time was well over 30 minutes, only to be let down again seeing that the meal was left overs!!! I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Unpleasant experience
I have been going to this restaurant for years and enjoy the food. Recently, when I was there a family came inside without masks. I inquired about the mask policy and was told when people are eating, a mask isn't required.The patrons were not eating, they were standing to be seated. I called back to the owner so that I will now his policy. I was told that I was causing trouble, he wasn't a mask patrol, and to find another restaurant. I was very shocked due to my long standing patronage

I'm a Southerner and I love the food here. It's exactly what I grew up with. Every meal I've gotten here has been simply delicious, The wait staff is always friendly, work hard and give great service. The prices are just right for the amount of food one gets and the quality. I love this place.
