I remember back when most restaurants were small, family-owned places, but now chains dominate the scene. However, I recently discovered a charming cafe that takes me back to simpler times. Island Lake Cafe has delicious food and a cozy atmosphere that reminds me of the good old days.

I Island Lake Cafí© was a great place to eat impeccable service food was awesome there all you can eat buffet specials were great and affordable

The food was great !!!! Definitely can tell the soups are made from scratch. Had chicken rice. The service was wonderful. Our waitress was Darlene and she is by far one of the nicest servers we have encountered. We will definitely put Island Lake Cafe on the top of our list.

Wow! Many things to choose from on the menu. The fish dinner I got was excellent. Their cole slaw was perfect, not drowning in dressing. The decor is so cute! And the price is right, too. Will be going back!

Great food, excellent service. Just moved to Island Lake and are very happy we found this restaurant ! Both my husband and I had skillets. They were amazing and huge ! Our waitress was Darlene and she was great. Checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very friendly !

We recently moved from Des Plaines to Island Lake and was told by friends Island Lake Cafe was the place to go. THEY WERE RIGHT. The food was great and our waitress was Very Friendly and spent time helping us navigate around the area. SHE TOTALLY went out of her way and made us feel very welcomed. Unfortunately I can't remember her name but only know it started with a "D". We will definately be back and hope we can have the same waitress.

Great food service was friendly and fast lunch. Rachel ,one of the servers there is great very knowledgeable about the menu. You will not be disappointed.
