The dining experience at DIPIERO'S in Lake Zurich is exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious dishes to choose from, such as chicken Marsala, spaghetti frutti di mare, and giambotta. The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the impeccable service, makes it a fantastic choice for a memorable dining experience.

My husband and I decided to dine at Di Piero's one night recently. It was not a busy night and there were plenty of spots to sit. We were given bread with olive oil and a serving of parmesan cheese with the bread. My husband ordered the Ravioli and I ordered a pasta with a bolognese sauce over Fusilli. The entrees cost $19 each. We had a couple of slices of bread and about half of the parmesan cheese between the two of us. It did not take a very long time to be served our entrees. However, this is when the evening took a turn for the worse on our date night.

The tomato sauce on both of our entrees tasted like it came from a can. When our server brought our entrees, my husband requested extra parmesan cheese. The server looked at him and indicated there was parmesan cheese left in the little cup. Now, mind you, the container was maybe 1/8 of a cup originally and was half gone by the time our entrees were served. There was not enough for both of us to use on our entrees. Also, my entree barely had any meat in the sauce.

The behavior of the waiter and the fact our food tasted like it came from a can made our date night less relaxing than what we wished. My husband is not one to complain but he won't go back to Di Piero's ever again and I agree. The place is too pricey and has the gall to tack on a service fee just because we did not pay cash. The waiter did not indicate at all there would be a fee using a card vs. paying cash. Because of this experience, we will never go there again NOR will we ever order from their pizza joint. There are too many restaurants to choose from.
