There's an incredible restaurant downtown that serves the best pizza I've ever tasted. You should definitely check it out if you're in the area!

We attended 17 River Grille for a 30th birthday dinner on 9/2/21 at 7p and was immediately regretted our decision to eat here because of how we were treated as group/ party. We were a group of 10 and was sat at two completely different tables despite numerous attempts of trying to work something out with the Tony whom was very unprofessional in his approach on handling our party. Tony lied and told our party that was the only way we could be sat despite us making a 7p reservation ahead of time and that there were 8p reservations that were also needed to be sat coming soon. These parties never existed and were never sat. The section that we suggested we sit at remained vacant the entire time of our reservation. I once again brought it to Tony's attention of how unhappy we were with our parties placement with zero acknowledgment.
Our server was excellent and also tried to see if she could try to help us get sat at a table that better accommodated our size party properly but she too had no success with Tony. I couldn't help but feel as though that because we were an African group celebrating that we were treated as such with little to no respect by the management team. This encounter completely ruined our 1st experience at this restaurant and our special moment.
