Won't be back... This WAS our regular spot in town as we loved almost every aspect about this restaurant. The servers/bartenders are amazing, food and drink are some of the best in Castle Rock. Unfortunately, today the owner decided to visit his business, which is a rarity, and decided to interject himself into my husbands and I's conversation.
My husband was speaking loudly due to him being hard of hearing, the restaurant being loud and busy, and I was emotional due to the topic of conversation which was about my deceased father. The owner decided to send a small statued waitress over to me to ask to speak in private. She asked me if I could have my husband quiet down as he was speaking too loudly... then said if not we'd have to leave and asked if I was OK.
As I went back to the bar to tell my husband, the owner who was standing next to my husband accused him of assaulting me. As we attempted to pay our bill, the owner continued to provoke and draw attention to the situation. My husband is far from abusive. And, if this was that type of situation, all the owner would have done was create a bigger issue for that woman to endure after she left.
Once outside, several of the wait staff came out to ask us why we were so upset and begged us to not let the owners behavior detour us from coming back. I know that us not returning to this establishment will not effect the business, but I won't put my money into someone's pocket who acts in this manner.
