With excellent Chinese food, friendly service, and a nice bar, House of Chin in Delta, CO has become a family favorite that I eagerly anticipate revisiting for its delicious dishes and accommodating staff, who always offer helpful vegetarian options.

I've been in there and had to wait over a hour for take out they were totally rude then the food was very small portions

Always delicious . . . great service . . . We also drive from Montrose to Chin's in Delta when we want to pick up carry-out and take it home . . . Wish they were closer, but definitly worth the trip.

If you are a FAT MOM don't come here! I had a baby and only about two months later got told how "big" I was.....uh. no thanks! Like it isn't even a buffet why do you even care how "big" or how much I eat. lol! you should be happy and asking if I want another meal!! And he has quite the Buddha belly on him to say the least.....and hasn't even had kids??

First, the food at House Of Chin is always EXCELLENT!! Always fresh, always delicious, and NEVER ANY MSG!! Lunch meals come with soup or salad, plus egg roll or cream cheese wonton; Dinner with soup or salad. I always get the Wonton soup, which is fabulous!! The broth is unctuous, lightly salty, so wonderfully warm and satisfying; 2 huge meat filled wonton skins in each bowl are also wonderful. As far as portions, they are huge! For example, Sesame Chicken is a mountain of crispy white meat chicken bites in a lovely sauce with crisp veggies, and either steamed rice or House fried rice on the side. I have also tried Beef and Snow peas, Beef with asparagus and Chicken lo mein...all are fantastic with excellent quality proteins and fresh, crisp vegetables. The flavors are clean, not greasy at all, and, like I said before, NO MSG. One of my favorite meals is, simply, the Pork Fried Rice (without eggs)...it is a magnificent, heaping pile of perfectly cooked rice with finely chopped veggies and beautifully seasoned pork. I have never eaten a fried rice anywhere else in the US that compares to theirs!!
The atmosphere is very casual, dress is very casual. Staff are friendly, and service is usually very prompt. Restaurant is clean and has simple decor. Pricing is very reasonable...my adult daughter and I can eat a full meal each, plus beverages, tax and tip at dinner for under $25-30. Quality of take out food is equally fabulous, and is hot enough to make it home.
The food qualifies for 5 stars, but the ambience, and other minor occasional glitches in service made me give a solid 4 starts across the board. GIVE IT A TRY!!
BEST Chinese food in the area, for sure!!
