First of all the staff was very friendly, I ordered the chicken fried chicken and it was absolutely horrible was like rubber! The corn half of it was burnt and the potatoes and roll were nothing special. I only went here because of the good reviews but will not be coming back.

The Christmas dinner was totally awesome. The staff is always wonderful and helpful.

All my life, I've always loved eating at Village Inn but not at the one in La Junta, CO, My relative and I went there for breakfast last Summer. The bacon on her plate was rancid, which spoiled my appetite because at first she wasn't sure it was the bacon and so I took a bite, and yuck, it was very rancid! Thank goodness, I didn't order a meal with bacon. We told the waitress, she apologized and went to get the manager. The manager apologized and told us they would bring out another plate.
It took them a long time to bring out another plate which inconvenience us as now we had to eat at separate times.
When all was said and done I was shocked that they didn't offer her a free meal for a coupon to use next time she visited. They didn't even take 10% off our ticket or offer a free slice of pie, or deduct a coffee--nothing!! We got charged for everything just as if nothing had happened.
I don't know where your from management, but where I'm from, Denver, CO., the entire meal for her, would have been free. That's how you keep customers happy, and that's how to make them want to return. I want to mentioned that the manager was the one who checked us out at the register. I will never go there for breakfast again, sorry to say. Also, to me, one star is not the true rating here. I give it a half of a star which is all it deserves considering the waitress was nice

Crepes ordered were terrible, sauce inside the crepes was lumpy and sour. Potatoes were burned too crispy too eat.
