The food was quite enjoyable, especially the buttermilk chicken and southern egg rolls, which offered bold flavors. The atmosphere was spacious and pleasant, and despite a few distractions from a loud party, the service remained friendly and attentive throughout the meal.

The food was pretty good, especially if you visit during off-peak hours to avoid the crowds. The cute decor and good service make for a pleasant dining experience.

Tonight we had family in from Baton Rouge and had dinner at Root Cellar. We had not been there for several months and had only been for lunch. One in out party had the filet medium rare, another had a hamburger, another the oysters and I had the lobster ravioli with shrimp sauce. It was all so delicious and out on time and cooked as requested. The service was great and were not hurried into leaving when we finished even though it was Friday night and they were busy. Thanks to owners , wait staff and chefs who made this a great dining experience.
