My husband and I stopped for a late breakfast at Dinerluxe this AM. We haven't eaten here since the pandemic began. What a disappointment! When this place opened years ago, it was lovely and the food was great. Now the food is mediocre at best. I ordered a Sante Fe wrap which was supposed to have scrambled eggs in it and be accompanied by salsa and fruit. I got a wet, runny wrap containing egg whites (and I had to hunt for them); no fruit and no salsa on the side. When I asked for the missing items, I was told (abruptly) by my waiter that fruit doesn't come with the plate; however, the menu says otherwise. I could have argued, but didn't bother since he did bring me some. The salsa I ultimately received was hot (i.e., heated) and runny, not what I was expecting. My husband's egg, sausage and cheese sandwich had cheese that was congealed and tasteless. Am afraid we won't be in a hurry to return.
