The chicken fried chicken here is truly exceptional, with a breading that strikes the perfect balance of flavor and crispiness. I started with some chili fries as an appetizer, and while the chili seemed a bit canned, the fries themselves were outstanding. Next time, I plan to try the pies, which look absolutely delicious.

I love the Hubbard's in Garland and Rowlett. I've lived in the area for 40 years. I love them both.

I love this place. We mostly have a late breakfast with a mohitai or bloody mary. The drinks are wonderful and the food is excellent. The best part is the staff super friendly and attentive and very handsome or pretty. I swear she hires her people from a model agency.

The price, portions, service are great. I read some reviews that were complaining eggs being a little too done...ftw trivial. It's good, they get busy so occasionally you may have to be an adult a be patient.

The manager at Hubbards in Rowlett is a huge jerk. We got there and ordered two Bloody Marys. They came out with wilted celery and bugs. We informed the manager and he told us it was pepper. Pepper doesn't have legs last time I checked. Didn't even try to make it right or replace the drinks. Where is customer service these days? My wife called him after we had left and he started yelling at her and slammed the phone down in her ear.

have lived in Rowlett for over 15 years. I was happy when we were getting a non-chain restaurant in town. Went there and the food was your standard prepared in advance type stuff. The service staff is good and of course are cute. I went there this morning (04/08/2011) for breakfast and was given great service by the staff. I ordered a standard breakfast and it was as I expected. The bacon was greasy because it had been sitting in a steamer for who knowns how long. The eggs, which I ordered scrambled lite, were hard and bland. The biscuits were hard and made long in advance and of course warmed. The gravy, if you want to call it that was as watery as could be. The hasbrowns were hard, bland and dry. I knew this was how their food was normally but was hungry and in a hurry. I sat at the counter and several times the girls were asking for more biscuits, then the owner came up and started chewing the girls out, in front of the customers, that none had been ordered. I said, wait, several have told the kitchen staff they needed them and quickly. The owner then began to give me his riot act and basically told me not to tell him how to run his business.Well Mr. Owner, I have some news for you, your staff is important, your customers are important. If you don't have either you don't have a business. I know, I own my own business. I tried to talk to the owner and relay why I said this and he was like, just don't tell me how to run my business. So, I told myself right then and there, I will tell you how I feel about your business, I will never be back and will let everyone know how I was treated and how poor the food quaility is.If you are thinking of going to Hubbards, get ready for good service from some very cute and cheerful girls and lousy food and a bad attitude from the owner. I have read where some are commenting on the staff's attitudes well, the owner has one twice as bad.
