The service at Tops Cafe was exceptional, and the food was delicious and well worth the price. Located in the heart of Oak Cliff, this great restaurant offers generous portions and a cozy atmosphere.

decided to eat a late lunch stopped in the restaurant has a warm friendly family welcoming atmosphere my server was fantastic and friendly served my selections with a very very short wait time I was happy and thrilled because I had waited to eat had errands & was waiting on a fried, boy was I glad I decided to stop in food was delicious my fish was hot and seasoned to perfection and I ordered the turnip greens wonderful & they also provided me with cornbread and a home cooked dinner roll tasted like from scratch - all I can say is I wish I had more of that fish but I had no more time to spare -- at the end of the day OUTSTANDING ! !

Today I ordered chicken fried steak and some mash potatoes and fried okra and some spinach and corn bread the spinach tasted like caned Gloria spinach withbacon they added in it the orka was nasty and the corn bread tasted like it was lefted over the steak tasted like it was old.never again and I ordered a fish sandwich it had one small piece of fish it tasted like it had butter on it .but when I ordered breakfast it is good and there dressing never again I go there and spend my money mashpotatos nasty fish sandwich on hamburger bun for five dollars I thought I had a good eating place I was telling peoples to go there but I say not

Have enjoyed eating at Tops for many years. The food is always incredible and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Cant imagine the previous reviewer was at the same establishment. Will continue to enjoy!

We went to tops to have dinner, The waitress anna marie insisted on talking on her cell phone the entire time while she was taking our order/ She told us to hurry because she had to got o the bathroom. Which I thought was odd, then after we did receive our food she left the cafe to go to the store. All of our food was over cooked and mushy and cold. When she did come back the kitchen was closed and we couldnt order something else. Then she had the nerve to tell one of my friends not to bring me back to the cafe ever. I was never rude to her I just said the food was awful. i will NEVER go back to this cafe ever again and I don't even see how the evening crowd can tolerate such rudeness. And lousy food!
