I ate at Coz's last night for the first time. Service was great! I ordered the shrimp dinner. The shrimp wasn't good or bad. It just didn't have a good flavor. It was fried in old oil for one thing. Maybe the batter didn't have a good flavor. I don't know. I just didn't like it. I probably won't be back.

We waited and hour and a half for our food. No sorry ,no price cut nothing. Should never have to wait for food that long. Everytime we go there if there is more then two tables it take for ever for the food to come. There's slow but that's way to slow. Probably our last time to eat there.

Poor Service & Food Quality
10/04/2015 - Carol
First let me say the service has always been excellent. The girls working are really sweet. The food can be hit or miss. Then, for two cups of hot tea it costs $6.00 which would be ok I guess if the drink prices were listed anywhere on the menu.

The phone number listed is not correct. The correct # is (217) 864-1311.

Had a great time with the locals. The food and beer was good but the company was better. Would absolutely go back again.

I have taken my family there many times. We enjoy the atmosphere and the food. The staff seems very nice and attentive. I don't much care for the pizza, but have liked everything else I have ordered.

I have lived in the area long enough to know what decent food is. Coz's pizza is NOT it. We have tried this establishment many times and were pleased with the staff even though the food was just ok. Recently my family and I were wanting a quick bite to eat before a movie. We went in, and were sat by a hostess that was too busy on her cellphone texting in what looked like to be a drawer to see us. After we were sat, our waitress came over and took our drink order. We waited several minutes for her to come back with our drinks - all we ordered were soft drinks. She told us the Pepsi was out and had to change it. However the table in the booth next to us received refills of their Pepsi while we waited... We ordered our food. 2 pc. Walleye basket, 12 inch fried pepperoni pizza and kids tenders. The walleye was under cooked which we sent back. The pizza was burnt so bad that the cornmeal was crusted onto the top of the pizza and the pepperoni tasted like the black char off a grill. The tenders were cold and fries were as well. After speaking with Jason the manager, he told my husband that we must have waited to long to eat the tenders, the fish looked cooked to him, and the pizza was supposed to look that way. We told him that we would pay for our drinks and that we did not want to waste any more time. He insisted he pay for everything which was the appropriate thing but not without telling us that if we didn't like the food to go elsewhere. As we got up to leave, we took our youngest to use the bathroom and over heard him say " I can't fuc**** stand dumba** people to a blonde waitress. My husband asked the hostess for his name and the name of the owner. She gave me Jason pratt's card and told me the owners were Steve Lewis and Kevin greenfield. We have left messages at both of there workplaces as well as at coz's and have heard nothing. This behavior is not what a family style restaurant should be. This manager is rude, smelled of beer and could care less for his mt. Zion customers. Good luck.
