The atmosphere here is simply fabulous, with a charming Italian cafí© theme that makes you feel right at home. Mara, the owner, brings a personal touch, often singing for guests while providing excellent service alongside her dedicated staff. The food is outstanding, from the perfectly cooked eggplant to the delicious spaghetti, making it one of my favorite spots for authentic Italian cuisine in Lewes.

we ate there last night, and were terribly disappointed. the food was lousy, decor crummy, service very slow (although I realize everyone is understaffed) - and they really were not pleasant. My husband didn't eat his dinner, and neither of us wanted a to-go box - but our server did not ask us if had possibly not liked the food. Plus prices for drinks reflected a much more upscale restaurant; and my mixed drink was not very good. Presentation of food was very poor; and food really wasn't good. the only thing that was good actually was the soup, which was the soup of the day - Italian wedding soup.

we would definitely not return, nor recommend the restaurant. I'm sorry to say this; had hoped for much better.

The cannoli I got was excellent. That said, everything else was terrible. I had a craving for chicken Marsala. What I got was thin chicken cutlets, which is great, however these were less tender than a flip flop, just awful. Further, the sauce had an unfamiliar lemon taste to it which I've never known Marsala sauce to have. The salad was a simple bagged salad from a grocery store with undoubtedly kens zesty Italian dressing as a compliment. The staff was very friendly but the entree portion of the meal was awful. It's very unfortunate for a $30 dinner for 1 that the dessert, cannoli, was the best part.

I had the absolute worst experience with this restaurant! In trying to support local businesses during COVID, I ordered from Villa Sorento. My $11 salad was a near empty container of a bit of lettuce and gross dressing and cheese on the side. When I opened the pizza box I was blown away. The pizza was ALL sauce with a tiny sprinkling of mozzarella in random places. There wasn't enough cheese to cover one slice! I called the restaurant to let them know what happened and received the most obnoxious responses from whoever answered the phone. Smugly, she tried to explain what a pizza was and then told me it's not her problem. I was so taken aback. SUPPORT OTHER LOCAL BUSINESSES than this one!
