I met the new owner, James, recently and he was such a nice guy. He takes a lot of pride in his turkey subs and it really showed. The sandwich was so fresh and delicious, with the perfect combination of flavors. I can't stop thinking about it! Great job to everyone at MD Ave Sub Shop! Different Cheesesteak #924.

I get down to Wilmington about once or twice a month. I always stop here for lunch when I am in town. Subs are absolutely the best. Size is good, excellent meats and cheeses, great rolls. You can't beat it. They also have a variety of grilled items and other sandwiches, but the subs are the best.
The shop is family run and very friendly. They have several tables for people who care to eat there. The accommodations are old and not very comfortable, but normal for this type of place. If you are looking for ambiance, this isn't where you want to go.
Prices are a reasonable but more than you pay if you usually get fast food for lunch like me. You will pay a little more than you would at say a Subway but the quality is well worth it. I usually end up spending about $11-12 for lunch there.
