The host Michael was a great guy to talk with and gave us the history of the restaurant. The service was fast and attentive. We got snow crabs and Jambalaya. Both meals were excellent. Definitely rivals seafood for New Orleans.. We will be back anytime we are in the area"¦

This is a restaurant frequented by locals and the fortunate tourist that drops in. They have a giant ships propeller out front from the highway. They have the absolute BEST she crab soup I've ever tasted and I've tasted a lot. The crab cakes are also top notch. It's been 4 years since I was up there and I frequently get a craving for Meding's Seafood. The atmosphere is a little noisy and the service is just a tad slow but you will not regret stopping in there.
