I had a wonderful experience at a charming restaurant on New Year's Eve, enjoying a relaxing dinner with my family. The unique decor reminded me of New Orleans, and while I found the lasagna's flavor a bit unconventional, my pierogi was fantastic. The service was friendly and accommodating, making the whole evening enjoyable, and I appreciated the beautiful view of the water while savoring my meal.

I discovered a wonderful restaurant in Milsboro, DE, on New Year's Eve with my family. The decor reminded me of New Orleans, with an eclectic mix of Chinese umbrellas and bright flowers. The food was a unique blend of Italian and Polish cuisine, and everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. The service was friendly and accommodating, and the outdoor deck offered stunning views of the Indian River.

Beautiful Clean Restaurant !
Excellent. Food. We were 4 people 2 ordered off the menu and 2 had the buffet. The buffet was very good and nice mix of food. Menu items Chicken parm and Polish platter came quickly and were both excellent.
My husband said the Polish food tasted just like his Mothers. Highly Recommend

We visited this past Friday. We ordered appetizers which came out fast. The pot stickers were OK. I really liked the Pierogis
The Lasagne was awful. I mean really bad.
The fish was smelly. The fried shrimp were not bad.

Food was terrible. The pasta came out mushy, and watery. It was cold. Ordered the fried Shrimp they were good but there was nothing to dip them in. Ordered a cocktail and it tasted like water. I was there before the pandemic and it was crowded. There was only four other people there.

This is my favorite restaurant. I have been coming here for at least 15 years and have never been disappointed.
The service is great, waitresses and waiters are super friendly and the desserts are amazing.

My favs are the Lazagna, Seafood Manicotti and the Polish Platter !

I'd give this restaurant a negative number of stars if were an option. Which is a shame as my kids and I had high hopes for this aptly named, corky little bay front restaurant we had passed during our "topless drives" (nothing salacious, I drive a wrangler)
At no point in my 38 years have I EVER experienced both terrible service & cuisine- and we were the only guests in the restaurant!!!! The waitress pocket checked my kids chicken fingers (which were inedible) , admitted she "just forgot " - we need were finished eating and they still weren't at the table (tenders take 6 minutes in a fryer). Just as I went to look for her (something I've never done) she was strolling from the kitchen, annoyed and began to yell at me! Our crab dip was sour and the perogies were poorly prepared Mrs. T's. Our bill was $58 for TRASH! I asked for the dip to be removed (another behavior that was new to me) as it was spoiled. The server indigently agreed and called me a "hot mess" which, she was correct- I am, but in this instance I was not the mess. Save yourself money and many trips to the bathroom and avoid this restaurant!

Was completely embarrassed today when we took friends to breakfast. The restaurant was not very full but was completely understaffed. The person in charge was very rude to the other workers and customers and refused to allow any outside seating. We did not stay and while the six of us were leaving four more people walked out. I doubt that I will subject myself or any of my friends to a humiliating and rude situation like this ever again

Came today with my toddler and a friend. .. martinis, amazing! Food, delicious. Wait staff, helpful and cheery. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed :) cannot recommend highly enough for a unique dining experience

Food service drinks were absolutely AMAZING!!! I had the serendipity kiss a martini... So great I had 3 which iNEVER DO! The food was WAY better than the over priced restaurants that say they specialize in seafood! JAD CRAP IMPERIAL STUFFED FLOUNDER AND THEIR SEAFOOD MAC AND CHEESE .. DIVINE ABSOLUTELY DIVINE !! Service was out of this world. Decorations are a little crazy but the food service and drinks were sooooooooo amazing I came back to where we were staying and immediately wrote this review. Prices are great as well. Well worthy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aside from the 1 hour and 40 minute wait for food (after ordering which also didn't include the 30 minute wait for a table and seeing multiple tables come in after we ordered, eating and then leaving before we even got our order), the wrong fish being served to me after that time (a SMALL portion of tilapia instead of the flounder I ordered), the manager refusing to see us after multiple requests regarding the long wait and then acting like a total jerk to us when we went to pay by completely lying to us about how long it took for our food (we have photographic evidence that he's wrong) then yes, the restaurant is definitely above a ghetto McDonald's.

I would recommend, however, cleaning the tables from time to time where you walk in and wait to be seated, get rid of the chairs with wheels that are at every table (especially if the floor in that area is uneven) and not outright lying about the place being super busy with several empty tables sitting around and others coming in an HOUR after some customers but still getting their food first.

I worked as a line cook for Hooter's while in college and our food (less than half the price of Serendipity's) was of better quality and the waitresses had much higher IQs.

i generally don't write these thing but after reading jeanette scathing rnt about the music at serendipity i must respond. i was one of the other tables ther at the time and the music changed frequently and what jeanette describes as screaming was in fact ella, and bette, and blossom dearie and frank. she was just as miserable as she could be and no amount of graciousness from the staff could appease her. the music there is a eclectic mix of jazz r&b and old standards i never heard the screaming

I have been to Serendipity several times and had a wonderful time. Tonight was different. We were celebrating one of our party's birthday. There were only about four couples in the whole restuarant. The music was so loud and obnoxious, we couldn't hear each other at our table. We asked nicely several times to turn it down or change the tape. It was turned down just a little, but the never-ending singing (and that's stretching it a bit), lasted practically the whole meal. We were told they were not allowed to change the tape unless the owner did it. I can't believe anyone would enjoy that particular CD and that they couldn't have just pushed a button and put on the next CD. I am very disappointed to think that the staff (or the owners/managers) of this nice restaurant does not care if they ruin what could have been a perfectly nice evening. I doubt if any of us will return anytime in the near future.

Having been to this restaurant before, I was excited to take my entire family to Serendipity for a special dinner. Unfortunately, most of us ordered a meal that contained spaghetti sauce. The sauce tasted burnt, it was DARK red/brown, and it covered our meals to the extent you didn't know what was underneath. Respectfully, we pointed this out to the owner who communited our concern to the cook. The cook's response was, if they didn't like it, "Let them go to Bella's." I can promise WE will. Cost me a bundle and we all walked away hungry!!!! Our special night was ruined.

It was fantastic! The view from the restaurant,the decor,the friendly staff and the wonderful food is highly recommended!!!I especially enjoyed the conversation at the bar with owners mother while we waited for our table.

Such a shame that there are such MISERABLE people trying to rip this GREAT restaurant apart! It's the BEST restaurant bar none in Sussex County.Clean,Exciting,Ever changing decor,Fresh HOME MADE food,Top quility ingredients,Excellent service,who could ASK for more?NEVER a disappointment in the 6 years that we have dined there.Maybe these nay sayers should stick with the fast food chains moe on their comfort and expectation level!!!!!

The food was cold, the vegetables were watery and bland, the baked potatoes were microwaved to death, and they charged for the bread. I would never go there again.

This place is not where you want to go! The wait staff are so unfriendly and the waiting time for your order is eXceptionally long. Our food was cold when it arrived and no apology from the owner! This is the restaurant you want to recommend to your worst enemy!! NEVER AGAIN!

This is truly the worst restaurant that my family and I have ever gone to! First of all they messed up our order...we only ordered pizza so it does not take a rocket scientist to make this. After almost TWO hours of waiting, we had to leave. The owner is the most rudest and obnoxious person that I have ever met! No apologies, only a very nasty attitude like he was doing the world a favor! Someone else sent back their chicken because it was not cooked all the way! Again, the owner had a bad attitude. So much for "the customer is always right!" Save yourself a lot of grief, don't go here if you want to have a nice evening out without waiting for two hours and then getting uncooked food!
