Speaking from experience last night from Zoras Roof Top Bar, Bar owner Edwin Allen is definitely a piece of work and will not ever get serviced again. Zora's Bar in downtown Des Moines has unlicensed and untrained security personnel and one security personnel that will drink while on the clock and offer to run up his own tab while performing security services. One security officer even stated that he had a criminal record. After last night's encounter and reports from my security personnel, it is clear that Mr. Allen is an irresponsible business and bar owner. From letting under aged minors in to smoke Marijuana inside the establishment to being served liquor. This bar owner isn't shy by any means. Zora's Roof Top Bar is not a safe environment. As Mr. Allen stated to myself and my security team that he had one person shot right there as he pointed out where this person had been shot like he was proud of it. That it happened in the parking lot and 3 parking spots down from the door that led to his business. More than 2 fights broke out, and threats and talks of an individual who threatened to get a gun. The Des Moines Police Department was called by multiple ongoers. It was bad enough that 1 of his 3 unlicensed security personnel did not feel safe or comfortable and left an hour and a half before closing time. This place is a ticking time bomb, and do not advise ANYONE to work WITH or FOR Edwin Allen.

Overpriced, food was mediocre, and music is way too loud. Is it a nightclub or restaurant/bar?!

This place is way too expensive! It used to be normal prices. It's $20 just for fajitas, and $14 for a margarita! About a 35% increase within a month or two. They're good, but not that good.

Food is awful. Drinks are too expensive. Service is awful. Parking is terrible. The music is way too loud. What more can I add? Honestly the worst restaurant in Des Moines, which is disappoint because it's such a beautiful building.

Went there Tuesday because evidently Tuesdays are taco Tuesday. One dollar tacos. Wow they were amazing! $.25 for each condiment but still $1.75 for a big 10 inch taco that was spiced very well, absolutely!
