03/08/2010 - Jean Sova
Went to Boodles several times about 6-10 years ago, then we moved. Went back on Sat night 3-6-2010. We started with their Southwestern Chicken soup with vegetables. I would go again just for the soup. The appetizer we chose was their special for the night, Crab and Lobster stuffed mushrooms. It was great, lots of seafood, hearty mushrooms, and topped with melted cheese. I had what I usually had, their Steak Diane. It was exquisite, just melted in your mouth and the flavors were alive with garlic and shallots. My husband had their Steak Stewart, filled with boursin cheese. It too was very good. Our friend had their broiled salmon, which she declared as very good, also. We ended with the Bananas Foster. It was very generous, really enough for four. It was perfect, not too sweet and not too rich or heavy. I would visit again soon. It is on the higher priced side with the steak entrees at $26-30, but it is a fair price for the portions and is definitely a better quality than most at these prices. We went at 6 pm and didn't have to wait, but the restaurant filled up quickly after 7. This is a meal not to hurry through. Thumbs up all the way. Our waitress was efficient and attentive without being overly so.
