I was so excited to find out that this restaurant was back. Rolls came out with spread in the basket. Asked for butter and they said we don't have butter. Onion rings are frozen and not the original hand battered they had before. My third piece of fish was iodine tasting. Need to go back to the original food for which I was craving. So disappointed. I will go back to scottys.

Just went there for the first time since they re-opened. Had two fish and chip dinners to go one with onion rings. The onion rings still had the skin of the onion on them and were uneatable. the fish was all the same size and looked processed. The fries were ok but very few of them. I am sorry to say I will not ever be back the last place was much better.

Tried it twice- second time worse than the first!
First time I ate there- I had the fish and chips. The fish, cole slaw and roll were good. The chips were lousy. The service was TERRIBLE! The waitress sat the order down without saying a word and promptly disappeared. I couldn't even get my water glass re-filled. There were only 2 other people in the restaurant so it wasn't as if she was busy. The restaurant was filthy and yet another staff member was sitting eating ice cream, and a third staff member was taking orders to go out to purchase cigarettes for the staff.
The second time I thought take-out might be better- WRONG! Service was even worse. Remembering the lousy chips I asked about the "fish only". I was told it was 3 pieces of fish, cole slaw and a roll. It was just what I wanted, so that's what I ordered. While waiting another customer picked up a take-out order, and the waitress put his order in a plastic bag so it could be carried easily. When my order came out she handed me a styrofoam box and a brown paper bag which would slide all over the car while driving. When I asked her to put mine all in one bag, she said "well I would have to go in back to get more bags so that's why I didn't". She then rang up the order and charged me for fish and chips, not the fish only that I ordered. When I questioned it she said "that's what you ordered". When I told her I had ordered fish only she then said "well I didn't take the order". I was so astounded by this I didn't bother to pursue the matter any further. When I got the order home, the fish was rather greasy, and the cole slaw tasted as if it was a few days old. However the roll was good.
After trying them twice and having TERRIBLE service both times, I would recommend avoiding them unless and until they get some better staff and clean the place up.
