I attempted to place a order for A Turkey Dinner for my our family Christmas Dinner last week. (Monday Dec14,2020. I was told to call back 48 hrs before the holiday they weren't taking orders at this time it's too early. I called today and About 3:45pm. 1.) My call immediately went to voicemail .. 2.) I was placed on hold for 15 minutes and then I was disconnected. I called back and finally I attempted to place my order with Alex at which time she told me they weren't taking anymore orders.. She asked me would I like to speak to the manager. I said yes however he wasn't available. I could call back in 30 minutes. Instead she Alex called me back so I could speak to the manager and I was on hold again...
Sweet Magnolias was recommended by a good friend ... She was so impressed with the Thanksgiving Dinner she purchased for her family..,
I've had breakfast/ dinner at restaurant before and the food was excellent. The service was slow...
However after my friend glowing recommendation I was going to purchase our family Christmas Dinner... Well I'm extremely disappointed with treatment I received as a prospective customer...
Rude, lying, etc. This is my reward for attempting to patronize and support my community.
I would think with the pandemic and businesses closing this restaurant would welcome my support.
If I'm asked about Sweet Magnolia I won't hesitate to share my awful experience ( just trying to place an order) Unfortunately this is one of the reasons establishments close
(Absolutely No Customer Service !!!)
I would have ordered at Beans and Cornbread
They know how to treat their customers...... SAD!!!

We try to support our black businesses during the pandemic I ordered the salmon dinner .., the salmon was grilled dry the rice was doctored up and the greens were bland I know a lot of business are working short staff but to take advantage of your customers is a shame.., praying things get better .., I made a donation because the dinner was horrible..

I have been to Magnolia's four times and I love the food. But the waiter we had the last time kept getting orders wrong. He delivered my meal to the couple in front of us, after she told him that's not hers. He picks the plate up and bring it to our table. Not acceptable!! I don't want food someone else has breath nad pick over. Was very disappointed.

I went on 6/23/2017 during lunch and had the small plate. It was just okay. I had ocean perch and a side of mac and cheese. The commercials on the radio made me want to try it. I doubt if I go back. The service was okay. The prices are little more expensive than other places. I know that there are carry out specials. Why can't these specials be offered to the people the are dining in and paying a tip also? Thanks
