The pasty I tried at the bakery on the east side was unexpectedly delicious, reminding me of my grandma's cooking. The crust was flavorful and the filling of beef and rutabaga was a pleasant surprise. The bakery also offers fresh-baked subs on sesame seed bread, providing a taste of old-world tradition. I'll definitely be returning for more of their tasty pasties and pizza, reminiscent of the Detroit Italian Bakery I remember from years ago.

Owners RETIRED about 2 weeks ago after 42 years. Wish them well.

The telephone number listed doesn't work. I tried it several times and they never answer. I would like to try their pasties especially if they do not contain carrots. The traditional Cornish pasties don't use carrots.
