Sorry ,my parents also came from Poland and my mom made the stuffed cabbage just like here.I never cared for any one else's.My parents didn't always make food exactly like anyone else. The only thing different here is my parents didn't add sour cream to their beet soup,so I prefer it without. But everything else here is very good! The dill pickle soup is awesome.

My mother and fathers parents migrated from Poland. Igrew up on Polish food, real polish food. I search for good polish food and there are very few places that know how to cook authentic polish food and the Polish Kitchen is one of them. I had a combination plate. The stuffed cabbage was far from original as advertised. Stuffed cabbage is made with ground beef and pork (2/1), rice, egg and onion. I did not taste any of these in what I was served. I asked for farmers cheese in the pierogi and I got potato. Brought it to their attention and was told that it was potato and farmers cheese. The pierogis were very small and did not have any farmers cheese in them. I asked for smoked kielbasa they said they only serve fresh kielbasa. The fresh kielbasa was tasteless and far from authentic. I asked for mushroom gravy on my mash patatoes. I was served a brown gravy with no mushrooms or even a hint of the taste of mushroom in the gravy. The crepe was good.

This isn't the best Polish restaurant by far. Very small portions for the price. Stuffed cabbage was very small and the same can be said about the kielbasa. The kraut was pretty good though. Pierogi were on the different side. Potato one was decent but the meat one was okay too. I'm Polish and never had a meat one before. The city chicken was very small and on the dry side. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good. Don't feel like I can strongly recommend this place so take your chances here. If you want a strong recommendation for great authentic Polish food try Polish Kitchen in Hamtramck, MI.
