I recently visited Aztec Bakery for the first time around 5:30 in the evening, hoping to enjoy some Tamales. Unfortunately, they were sold out, but I decided to try their raisin cookies and Calabaza Empanadas. The cookies were unexpectedly delightful, made with Manteca instead of vegetable shortening, and the Calabaza Empanadas were perfectly spiced and fresh. I highly recommend this bakery in El Paso for their delicious breads, doughnuts, and pastries that are sure to leave you wanting more!
