Havana restaurant was found by pure coincidence. Fist of all let me tell you I personally do read the trip advisor comments for all hotels, restaurants attraction etc. The unanimous amount of positive comment wins in my opinion. We were coming back to NJ from GA. As a typical Hispanic with food I am very picky and with all restaurants that we do visit I consider myself a picky critic. Let's start with cleaning; my husband (Cuban) and I born in nj but from Dominican parents The place is outstanding in clean. Super clean including the bathroom.
Service: outstanding too very nice & friendly ladies serve you. Most important food: we ordered "Ropa Vieja" shredded beef in red sauce w/ "Cuban sofrito". The meat was outstanding very tender, extremely thin shredded no fat at all. Believe me I hate when meat is not marinated properly and when it has Chunks of fat. This was perfect. Presentation beautiful! It came with white rice, black beans and maduros (sweet plantains) the beans were great too. Maduros did not taste like recycle oil. For Hispanics that understand what I mean with that. When restaurants reuse the same oil to refry different stuff. Eventually the plantains taste awful like that. These maduros were perfect. I hope this place stays there where it is and doesn't change. I will definitely fine out who is the owner to make sure next time I am on 95 heading south as long it's lunch or dinner time, we will definitely go there. Just for the record it really isn't that far from 95 it's about 16 miles from exit. Not too shabby for worthwhile food. Hey we tried this place instead of stopping at ruby Tuesday. I saw the steak (palomilla) it looked delic with chimichurri on side.
We brought with us a beef empanadas amazing. No fat in my meat. It truly was outstanding. Considering I was stopping off 95 I'll definitely give Havana a 5 star. Hope this helps. Safe driving!

I was introduced to this small piece of heaven by my brother-in-law Mario & his wife Lori. What a discovery! I fell in love! With the food, with the cozy place, with the family friendliness of everyone, topped by the TLC of one of their owners & servers Miss China, who is the sweetest, most loving person I've ever met. We love this place. Every time we visit Mario in fayetteville from Rose Hill we will have our treat &go eat there.i usually have the steak palomillo with tostones w/black beans and white rice. Simply delicious!
